STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

DOESN’T TURN ON

If an electric stove will not start, first check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the stove power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit in the oven, that means another part of the appliance will have to be fixed. The reason for the problem could be the infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOESN’T HEAT

A burner or stove that does not produce heat does not do much. Your oven doesn’t heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner doesn’t fire up when an element breaks or when the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We know how to troubleshoot and fix these common problems in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove is broken when the timer or program settings are not working. In this case, we know how to replace control panels on Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control panels and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this stove repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always need a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the heat is extremely hot, it could be due to an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our technicians can diagnose the reason for the problem and repair it. Be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A common stove problem is that an igniter will glow but it doesn’t light. The reason this occurs is from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens can have door problems often. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door doesn’t open up and then we complete the necessary repair in order to put an end to the issue.
